State Representative Candidate Jack Vrett Calls for Kim Foxx’s Resignation
Jack Vrett, candidate for state representative in the 53rd District, issued the following statement regarding Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx and the most recent resignations from her office.
“Cook County residents deserve a chief prosecutor who will prioritize public safety, rather than enable criminals. However, lawlessness continues to take hold and run rampant in Chicago and its surrounding communities on Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx’s watch. Five more prosecutors offered their resignations just this week, making it ever-more apparent that Ms. Foxx has lost the trust and confidence of line-prosecutors, law enforcement, crime victims, as well as the community-at-large. As such, I respectfully call on her to resign from her post. It is time to rebuild this office and the trust that it holds for the sake of our residents and our community.”
Jack Vrett is a former criminal prosecutor and an Army Veteran. He is the Republican Candidate for State Representative in the 53rd District of northwest suburban Cook County, representing all or parts of Arlington Heights, Des Plaines, Mount Prospect, Palatine, Rolling Meadows, and Schaumburg.
